Our Big Girl Lalon!

I'm going to have to stop saying "Little Lalon" so much as she is growing up so quickly! This morning, the tooth I felt on Monday had popped through, so she officially has her first tooth. And, just a minute ago, she pulled herself up for the very first time - yay Lalon!

Lalon - 9 month

Lalon and I went to the pediatrician's office yesterday afternoon for her 9 month appointment and got a great report!

She's doing all the things developmentally that she should and is one healthy little lady... and she loves to smile; it's her favorite. Over the past week she's started 'coughing' and will imitate that if you are doing it; she scoots / rolls all over, but isn't hand and knee crawling just yet and yesterday I felt the tip of a tooth coming through on the bottom.

Below are her stats - we go back in 3 months for her 1 year check!

19 lbs, 4 oz - 60th percentile

Beach Time!

Having fun at the beach this week with the family. Naylor was a little out of sorts over the weekend, but he's back to his normal self and having fun. He liked the beach a little better when we were here for the 4th of July, but every day he has a little more fun.

Yesterday they all had a lot of fun eating watermelon - it was a hit! We have definitely eaten well this week... major diet when we get back home!

Bye Bye Bottles!

Last night I packed up the bottles since Lalon has mastered the sippy cup. It was kind of a sad moment; we've been working on it, but now that she has it down pat, it's just one more thing getting her closer to not being a baby anymore... I didn't put them in the attic, they are nearby, but she doesn't really seem to mind the method as long as she's getting the milk!

a da, da, da, da...

Lalon's "talking"! Over the weekend she has started saying "a da da da da da" a whole bunch! And she loves to squeal - so Naylor likes to come over and yell and then she'll chime in and do the same, but has to stop to laugh for a minute. They are just too funny together!

Happy 4th of July!

We've had a wonderful long weekend at the beach with Annie, Pa, Aunt Glenda, Uncle Craig, Christie, Jamie, Anna, Ava James, Leslie, Jason and even a short visit with Meredith, Dustin and Lincoln!!

We toured the Airlie Gardens, headed to the beach a couple of times, ate... A LOT and had an all around great time.

Today I got a good picture of the kids. These were the very first matching outfits I bought for them once we knew we were having a little girl last summer.

What a great weekend!

8 month old Lalon

Our little Lalon is 8 months now (last week actually) and she's making great strides! She's starting to really eat a lot more food and has started drinking occassionaly from a sippy cup. Last week she tried a piece of toast and ate her first puffs - I'm not sure she actually ate that much, but she had a great time making a big slobery mess!

She's scooting all over the place these days - last week I was in her room folding clothes and left to get more and when I returned she was on the other side of the room! On Wednesday she got up on her hands and knees for the first time and rocked!! She's done it at least one time each day since, but hasn't gone anywhere just yet.

She's growing up so quickly and continues to love playing around with Naylor. She'll grab at him when he walks by and if she gets to touch him she'll just laugh and laugh!!
