So many blessings

It is very easy to get caught up in every day life that we sometimes don't stop to appreciate the people and things in our lives. I think now that I have been blessed with Naylor and Lalon, I stop to "smell the roses" more often and they have opened my eyes to all the things that I'm grateful for each and every day. If you are reading this, please know that you are one of those special blessings that I give thanks for each day. Below is a forwarded email a friend shared that reminds me of all the wonderful things in my life and how grateful I am for things, most of which I take for granted a majority of the time. While it is to raise awareness for those victims of the Haiti earthquake, I think the first half of it can apply to most of us every single day of our lives. I hope this reminds you of how special you are and to appreciate those in your life as well.

Lord, I just want to say THANK YOU, because this morning I woke up and knew where my children were. Because this morning my home was still standing, because this morning I am not crying because my husband, my children, my brother or sisters need to be buried out from underneath a pile of concrete, because this morning I was able to drink a glass of water, because this morning I was able to turn on the light, because this morning I was able to take a shower, because this morning I was not planning a funeral, but most of all I thank you this morning because I still have life and a voice to cry out for the people of Haiti. Lord I cry out to you, the one that makes the impossible, possible, the one that turns darkness in to light, I cry out that you give the people strength, that you give them peace that surpasses all understanding, that you may open the streets so that help can come, that you may provide doctors, nurses, food, water, and all that they need in a blink of an eye. For all those that have lost family members, give them peace, give them hope, give them courage to continue to go on! Protect the children and shield them with your power. I pray all this in the name of Jesus!!! To all my friends please continue to forward this so that we can pray together for the people in Haiti. "When two or more come together in my name, I am in their midst." We are coming together via the internet in His name.
